The Sant' Antonio mountain is a volcanic relief up about 800 meters of great environmental value, nature and archaeology, which offers a panorama of great beauty on all the surrounding territory. At the top of the rise there is a small country church dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. The route starts from the refuge called " Su Cantareddu" located within the homonymous tree park, surrounded by the characteristic "Suiles" ie ancient shelters for pigs, once used by the local shepherds. Along the path that leads to the mountain, we will stop at the edges of "Sa Ucca de S'Inferru", a chasm of probable volcanic nature, explored and surveyed in 2011 by the Soc. Esedra in collaboration with the Speleological Group of Cagliari. Once left the path we will walk on sight into the woods, until we'll reach the foot of the Nuraghe Ascusa, an example of a single tower nuraghe hidden in dense vegetation. We will take then the path "Intro 'e Monte", the same that people runs every 12 and 14 of June on the occasion of the festival dedicated to the saint of Padua. After about 40 minutes we will reach the Sant'Antonio park.
